Times Gone By

We drove back home from Ohio today. It was the perfect time for us to reflect on 2011 and share personal goals and our excitement for 2012. God has really been good to us this year. He has continuously provided and blessed. I learned so much through 2011...some of which I plan on sharing in January. Appropriate for today, I wanted to share our top ten Highlights from 2011 (in mostly chronological order) with you all. Brittany’s Engagement

Having the privilege of seeing my little sister getting engaged was priceless. For fun we took a few engagement pictures which actually turned out nicely. It introduced me to a hobby I’ve thoroughly enjoyed in 2011.

Good jobs

First and foremost, I’m thankful for the providence of my Heavenly Father in giving us both jobs and financial provision. Secondly, I’m thankful for jobs we love going too. And I am really thankful I get to see my handsome husband throughout the day. Working across the hall has its perks, like having little notes left on your computer. I might be getting spoiled.

One Year Anniversary
TC is great at surprising. He took me to Pensacola, picked a wonderful restaurant, glam hotel, and Dolphin boat cruise to celebrate our 1 year anniversary. On our dolphin boat cruise, we pretty much hit the dolphin jackpot and have pretty sweet footage to prove it.

The Cornelson-Kimbrell Wedding
on June 18^th, 2011. She was the most perfect, beautiful bride, and he a sweet and handsome groom. They had a picture-perfect, country, chic wedding. It belonged in a southern bride magazine

Weddings and Reunions
Many best of friends were married this summer, Anne and Brandon and Michael and Christince in Tennessee, Ali and Caleb in Illinois, Brittany and Matt and Anjel and Brian in Alabama and Christie and Jeremy in Seattle. We had several road trips to reunite with friends this year and a Homecoming for our alma mater. It was a sweet summertime and memory filled fall.

Seattle Vacation/Wyatt Wedding
We went to Seattle, WA this summer for the union of two of our dearest friends. We stayed for a week and were classic tourists visiting downtown, Edmonds, and Mt. Rainier National Park. We loved the West Coast. Seattle was incredible and we had such a wonderful time – and the friend reunion was perfection.

Buying Land for Our Future Home
A pretty exciting adventure mom, dad, TC and I embarked on this year and totally worth it. I’m looking forward to the future on our homestead.

My dream Smoky Mountain Christmas
Years of listening to Dolly Parton and Kenny Roger’s Christmas album and dreaming finally materialized. Flannanigans?
